No. San Michels is not a treatment center. We are a sober living community — a safe and supportive place for individuals who have already completed treatment and want to continue building a strong recovery foundation.
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage every resident to pursue employment, education, or volunteering as part of developing independence and long-term success.
Length of stay depends on each individual’s progress and personal goals. Many residents stay between 6–12 months, while others may choose to remain longer as they continue building stability.
We recommend bringing:
Clothing for about a week (including undergarments, pajamas, and seasonal wear).
Toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant.
Prescription medications in their original bottles, along with dosage details.
Identification (driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
Financial items like cash, debit/credit cards.
Your insurance card (if applicable).
Contact information for your support system (family, friends, sponsors).
🚫 Please do not bring drugs, alcohol, weapons, or pests. We also limit belongings to two suitcases per resident.
